For you college humor fans, Gale Beggy rescues Balloon Boy! If you don't know College Humor...they're hilarious!

Just as it says, I have returned. Thank you to everybody who wished me a fun and safe trip...and from the future....how'd you do that? :giggle:

So, now I'll let ya'll in on where it was I went. My uncle took me deer hunting for the first time. No, I didn't get a deer (not a lot of people did that we saw on the way home) but yes, I had a BLAST! It being my first time, everything my uncle did and said was truly fascinating. We did see some deer and I had the opportunity to shoot a huge 8 point buck, but I cracked under the pressure and I missed him.....3 times  BUT...had I gotten him, I would have expected it every time from here on out ya know? My uncle said my experiece was still something to be proud of because most experienced hunters will go up to 10 years and only see does and fawns and I got to see one just 2 hours into it. Yes, I am a good shot because we practiced with milk jugs, putting them about 100 yards away (the same distance away the buck was) and I shot 4 times, and hit 1 jug first try and it exploded. The second one, I had to shoot at 3 times before it exploded, thinking I was missing. Nope....4 shots...4 hits. But when one sees his/her first buck out in the wild and you're aiming your rifle at it, there's an adrenaline rush that words can't even begin to describe. If I'd gotten the buck, nobody would have believed my story, but that my uncle shot it and gave me credit :giggle: It was just all too convenient the way he walked out, down the middle of a mowed path and right out into the open and stood broadside to me....and then I hit him...my first time...being a girl...Nuh-uh. Somebody'd call Penn and Teller on that one and label it a steaming pill of Bull$h!t!

I hope he takes me back next year and I hope to have my own equipment that way he can shoot too. He was awesome to let me use his rifle the whole weekend, shoot his shells, buy my dinner, drive my inexperienced arse out there, and try every way in the world to get me a deer this weekend. Maybe I can find a gun like his and we can split the ammo. It's kinda expensive...a box of 20's like $25 so that's....like...what.... $1.25 a shell?

Okay, now I'm rambling. Thanks again for the regards and thanks for reading this, especially if you're against hunting.
Anyway, back to checking deviations, e-mails, notes, and comments.
Ciao!

From now on, I will only agree to accept a request if I know you. Sorry to be so persnickety about it, but I've been used on several occasions here and certain forums (ask me for request and then I never hear from said person again) and it's time to nip it in the bud loll
Some requests end with acquaintanceship, but not enough to continue filling requests from strangers.
